KWIK STUDY
is an innovative learning system that makes it possible
for students to learn KWIK-Key
Instructional Materialon any subject quickly
and easily. KWIK
STUDYrequires no prior knowledge of a
subject and may be used by an individual or small groups.
The
system maximizes the active participation of each student
in the learning process, and it encourages parents and/or
others to participate in the learning process with the
student. Most importantly, KWIK
STUDY makes learning quick, easy, and
so much fun that people will think it is a game.
KWIK STUDY
eliminates the necessity of a teacher's preparing most
of theKWIK-Key
Instructional Material. The
system gives the teacher maximum freedom to focus on
assisting the student in understanding and applying
the KWIK-Key
Instructional Material. KWIK
STUDY gives the student maximum freedom
to focus on learning the KWIK-Key
Instructional Material at his own pace without being
dependent upon the teacher.
KWIK
STUDY uses modules which
contain KWIK-Key
Instructional Materialabout one or
more subjects. These modules
are designed so that the teacher may modify the KWIK-Key Instructional Material to accommodate
the age and/or grade level of the student(s). Each module
includes the following components:

Discussion Technique:
The
procedure the student uses to achieve and demonstrate
mastery of the KWIK-Key
Instructional Material contained
in the KWIKFacts by answering these questions: 1)
What does the fact or verse say?;
2) What does the fact or verse mean?;
and 3) How may the fact or verse be applied?
KWIKAssessment:
The
document that contains questions about theKWIK-Key
Instructional Material included
in the KWIKFacts; it is intended to be used
by the student to study at home in preparation
for the lesson that will be presented in the next
class session
KWIKView:
The
document that contains questions about the Instructional
Material
presented to the youth. In most instances, the
Instructional
Materialis
the same material presented to the adults; however,
in certain instances, the material may be modified
to be more suitable for youth
KWIKBrief:
The
form that requires the student to identify KWIK-Key-Factsor KWIK-Key-Versescontained in the KWIK™Facts
and to answer the following questions about each:
1) What does the fact or verse say?;
2) What does the fact or verse mean?; and
3) How may the fact or verse be applied?
KWIK-E-KWIZ
Game:
The
game that allows the student to score points by
answering questions about theKWIK-Key
Instructional Material presented
in the KWIK™Facts.
KWIK-E-KWIZChallenge:
The
contest in which teams compete against each other
by playing theKWIK-E-KWIZ
game
Chips:
The
chips the players use
to select questions when playing the KWIK-E-KWIZgame
Bonus
Chips:
The
two
Chips marked Bonus which
when selected entitles the player to have five
chances to answer five questions whether or not
any of the five is answered correctly
KWIKScore:
The
score sheet that is used to record the players'
scores when the KWIK-E-KWIZ
game is played
Student
Assessment:
The
form the student uses to express his assessment
of the components of the KWIK
STUDY™ System, the overall lesson,
and the teacher. It is intended to provide the
teacher with feedback from the student
Pre/Post
Assessment:
An
assessment the student is required to take before
amodule is completed and after
a module has been completed.
Its purpose is to determine how much of the KWIK-Key
Instructional Material presented
in themodule the student knows
before and after. Each student is expected to
score at least 80 on the Post Assessment
